Job Title: Med/Surg/Telemetry Float Pool Nurse

Compensation:

  • Minimum: $30.00 per hour
  • Maximum: $44.50 per hour

Additional Compensation:

  • Sign-on/Relocation Bonus: Case by case
  • Differentials: 2nd Shift: $4/hr., 3rd Shift: $6/hr., Weekend: $3.50/hr. (Stackable)
  • Float Pool Premium: Eligible for an extra $5/hr. premium once off orientation (8-12 weeks).
  • Location: Asheville, NC
  • Position Type: Full-time Nights (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.)

Position Description: We are currently seeking Registered Nurses to join our dynamic Med/Surg/Telemetry Float Pool in Asheville, NC. Joining our healthcare team means you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care in western North Carolina.

About the Role:

  • Responsibilities: As a Float Pool Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care, ensure patient comfort, and promote wellness.
  • Education: A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required. If you don't have a BSN, you can enroll in a program within 6 months and obtain your BSN within 4 years of hire. A Master's in Nursing is preferred.
  • Certifications & Licensure: You must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required, and national certification in your area of specialty is preferred.
  • Experience: You should have a minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an Acute Care (hospital) environment. Candidates with one year of solid experience may also be considered.

Additional Details:

  • Nurse/Patient Ratio: 1:5 (may be 1:6)
  • Work Environment: Nurse-driven, autonomous, modified self-scheduling
  • Support: Additional support provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
  • Experience: Emergency Department (ED) experience is welcome, but no new grads, please.

Please note that current HCA employees and those employed by HCA within the last 1 year are not eligible for the sign-on bonus.
