Job Title: Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: La Junta, CO 81050

Shift: 5x8-Hour (06:45 - 15:15)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-Week Renewable Contract

Salary: $2,136-$2,492/week

We are currently seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses to join our Operating Room team. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and sterile environment in the operating room.
• Assist in surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their comfort and safety throughout the surgical process.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the physician.
• Assess and document patients' conditions and progress during surgical procedures.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment.
• Communicate effectively with the surgical team, patients, and their families to provide comprehensive care.
• Float within the hospital to assist in other units or departments as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid RN license in the state of Colorado.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operating room setting.
• First-time travelers are welcomed and encouraged to apply.
• COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, or an exemption form must be on file.
• Ability to float within the hospital to different units or departments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• BCLS certification.
