Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: La Junta, CO 81050

Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:00) or (11:00 - 23:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $1,922-$2,243/week

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses with a specialization in Emergency Room (ER) nursing to join our team. If you have a passion for providing exceptional care in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply. First-time travelers are also welcomed!

Responsibilities:

Assess and triage patients in the emergency room, providing initial medical screening and determining the urgency of care.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as ordered by the attending physician.
Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and changes in condition.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans.
Perform emergency medical interventions and provide life-saving measures when necessary.
Coordinate and communicate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and effective care delivery.
Adhere to established protocols, guidelines, and best practices for emergency nursing.
Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, following infection control and safety protocols.
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.

Requirements:

Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting.
First-time travelers with strong ER experience are welcomed.
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certifications.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills in high-pressure situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining patient safety.
