Location: Hermitage, TN
Job Type: Full-Time (Days, No Weekends)
Compensation: $79,000 - $110,000 per year (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance: Case by case basis

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Nurse Manager to lead daily operations and clinical functions of the Emergency Department at a Level III Trauma Center. This role manages a team of 45 direct reports within a 73-FTE department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and overall operations of the Emergency Department.
Ensure adherence to evidence-based practices and patient safety standards.
Manage personnel activities, including hiring, training, and coaching staff.
Provide strong leadership to support the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care.
Address patient, visitor, and physician concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care delivery.
Monitor and evaluate staff performance, ensuring compliance with unit-specific standards of care.
Develop and implement department goals, safety procedures, and operational workflows.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) – Required
Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) – Preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact State RN license – Required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Required within 30 days of hire

Experience:

Minimum 1-3 years of clinical leadership experience – Required
Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience – Required

Unit Details:

Trauma Level: III
Team Structure: 45 direct reports, 73 total FTEs (including PRN staff)
