Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics

Location: Johnston, IA 50131

Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $1,706-$1,991/week

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics team. As an RRT, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including children, teens, and adults. Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Administer and monitor various respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication administration, and pulmonary function testing.
Manage and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment for critically ill patients.
Conduct patient education on respiratory care techniques, disease management, and equipment usage.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and promote effective communication.
Document patient interactions, treatments provided, and response to therapy accurately and timely.
Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide immediate interventions as required.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.

Requirements:

Valid and active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
Current Iowa or Compact state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RRT.
Experience in neuro diagnostics and working with pediatric patients is highly desired.
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
