Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:00)

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract
Salary: $1,706-$1,991/week
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics team. As an RRT, you will play a crucial role in providing respiratory care services to patients of all ages, including children, teens, and adults. Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Administer and monitor various respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication administration, and pulmonary function testing.
- Manage and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment for critically ill patients.
- Conduct patient education on respiratory care techniques, disease management, and equipment usage.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes and promote effective communication.
- Document patient interactions, treatments provided, and response to therapy accurately and timely.
- Respond to respiratory emergencies and provide immediate interventions as required.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Valid and active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Current Iowa or Compact state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RRT.
- Experience in neuro diagnostics and working with pediatric patients is highly desired.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
