  • Full-time Days: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - 3X12's
  • Full-time Nights: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - 3 X12's

🚀 Job Summary: The Registered Nurse – RN – PCU – Progressive Care Unit RN plays a crucial role in providing direct nursing care at The Hospital . Collaborating with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, the clinical RN assesses patient care needs, plans interventions, and evaluates outcomes. Responsibilities also include direct care provision and supervision of LVN’s and non-licensed nursing staff while ensuring adherence to department policies, procedures, and practice standards.

📋 Responsibilities:

  • Provide age-specific care (adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients) aligned with patient developmental and safety needs.
  • Perform charge duties in addition to RN responsibilities, including patient assignments and shift supervision.
  • Maintain TX RN licensure or RN Compact State License.
  • Hold BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications.
  • Possess a BSN or ADN with a commitment to enrolling in a BSN program within 6 months and completing it within 24 months.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a high-acuity PCU unit - Acute Care.
  • Strong knowledge of histology methods and correlation to disease processes.
  • Demonstrate expertise in specimen section preparation, slide orientation, thickness, and stain quality.
  • General understanding of laboratory accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Fast Paced Environment with Full Capacity
  • True PCU experience required; Tele experience alone will not suffice

💲 Salary and Compensation:

  • Minimum: $30/hour (1 year of experience)
  • Mid: $38.87/hour (10 years of experience)
  • Max: $46/hour (20 years of experience)
  • Weekend Shift Differential: $4.20/hour

🌍 Relocation: Case by case basis
