Director of Nursing of Cardiovascular ICU - San Antonio, TX

  • Competitive compensation with salary up to $120,000,

Position Overview: The Hospital in San Antonio, TX is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing for their Cardiovascular ICU. This is a full-time position with no weekends required. The hospital is renowned for its specialized services, including cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine, and more. As the Director of Cardiovascular ICU, you will play a crucial role in coordinating patient care, leading a team, and ensuring exceptional service to patients and their families.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Senior Director, Vice President, and/or the Chief Nursing Officer
  • Overseeing a team of 70-80 staff and managing 42 beds in the Cardiovascular ICU
  • Facilitating and coordinating patient care throughout their hospitalization period
  • Building and leading a cohesive team that delivers outstanding patient care
  • Collaborating with physicians, staff, and administrators to exceed customer expectations
  • Assessing and implementing effective changes to improve processes and outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Minimum three years of recent RN acute care experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • Current RN license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas or ability to obtain temporary license prior to hire; Texas RN license required within 90 days of hire
  • Consideration will be given to candidates with 3-5 years of experience as a Manager of Critical Care/ICU/CVICU in an acute care facility
  • Experience with HCAHPS and Core Measures is preferred
