- Salary Range: $30 (1 year of experience) to $46 (20 years of experience)
- Shift Differential: Nights $3.75, Weekends $4.30

- Days: 7A-7P (Rotating Weekends) - 3X12’s
- Nights: 7P-7A (Rotating Weekends) - 3X12’s

Position Overview: Join our Med Surg Neuro Floor, dedicated to providing exceptional care to patients with stroke, epilepsy, and general neurology conditions. Our 26-bed unit is fast-paced and supported by a team-oriented group of caring nurses, clinical professionals, and tech support. We offer exceptional management support, an on-floor educator, and numerous opportunities for growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and apply aseptic techniques, ensuring the maintenance of a sterile field during procedures.
- Prep for surgical procedures by understanding which areas need attention.
- Conduct patient assessments prior to surgery, ensuring patients understand the procedure.
- Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure a "timeout" is conducted before any procedure.
- Demonstrate teamwork, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
- Ensure quality nursing care services and promote a positive image of nursing.
Qualifications:
- Current Texas RN licensure or compact license.
- Current ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- BSN required. ADN candidates with several years of MS experience may be considered but must enroll for BSN within 6 months and complete within 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent acute MS experience.
Note: Candidates currently working in a hospital setting are preferred. Those with only LTAC, Rehab, or non-hospital-based experience may not be considered.
