ICU Nurse Manager Intensive Care Unit
Location: Fort Walton Beach, FL
Shift: Mixed Shifts
Salary: $95,000–$110,000 (based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse Manager to join a high-performing critical care team in a 336-bed Level II Trauma Center. This is an excellent opportunity for an RN leader who is passionate about patient-centered care, staff engagement, and driving superior clinical outcomes.
You will oversee daily operations, staffing, and quality initiatives across a 42-bed ICU/CVICU, supporting a multidisciplinary team caring for neuro, surgical, trauma, cardiovascular, and respiratory patients.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations and staffing of the ICU to ensure safe, high-quality care.
Lead, mentor, and engage clinical staff to promote a positive patient and employee experience.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital standards.
Collaborate with medical and clinical leaders to implement evidence-based practices.
Manage admissions, discharges, and patient flow to optimize efficiency.
Oversee departmental budgeting, resource allocation, and opportunities for cost reduction.
Support professional development and ongoing staff education.
Qualifications
3+ years recent acute care leadership experience in ICU (Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager).
Relief charge alone does not meet requirements.Associate Degree in Nursing required.
Active Florida RN license, BLS, and ACLS required upon hire.

Unit Size: 42 critical care beds
Team: 135+ team members, including managers, RNs, externs, and unit secretaries
Position serves as one of two ICU/CVICU managers
