Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Duration: 13-week Renewable Contract

Salary: $2,117-$2,470/week

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room (ER) team in Saratoga Springs, NY. As an ER Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality emergency care to patients in need. This is a 13-week renewable contract position for night shifts, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and make a difference in the lives of patients.

Responsibilities:

Perform triage assessments, prioritize care based on patients' acuity, and provide immediate interventions to stabilize patients.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
Monitor patients' vital signs, assess changes in their condition, and promptly report any abnormalities to the healthcare team.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
Utilize Meditech charting system for documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records.
Proficiently operate Omnicell medication system, maintaining inventory and ensuring proper medication administration.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.

Requirements:

Active New York State Registered Nurse license in hand.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
Proficiency in Meditech charting system and experience with Omnicell medication system.
Ability to handle high-stress situations and make quick decisions while maintaining composure.
ACLS certification preferred.
Experience in triage and managing Level 1 trauma cases is a plus.
Current COVID-19 vaccination as per facility guidelines.
