Job Duration: 13-week Renewable Contract
Salary: $2,117-$2,470/week
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room (ER) team in Saratoga Springs, NY. As an ER Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality emergency care to patients in need. This is a 13-week renewable contract position for night shifts, offering an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills and make a difference in the lives of patients.
Responsibilities:
- Perform triage assessments, prioritize care based on patients' acuity, and provide immediate interventions to stabilize patients.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, assess changes in their condition, and promptly report any abnormalities to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures.
- Utilize Meditech charting system for documentation and ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records.
- Proficiently operate Omnicell medication system, maintaining inventory and ensuring proper medication administration.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license in hand.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
- Proficiency in Meditech charting system and experience with Omnicell medication system.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations and make quick decisions while maintaining composure.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- Experience in triage and managing Level 1 trauma cases is a plus.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination as per facility guidelines.
