Senior Manager/Supervisor

Director Emergency Services – FSEDs Boerne, TX- freestanding emergency center

Compensation: Salary range $97,052 - $121,326 - $140,000

Join our team at the Emergency Center, the first 24/7 freestanding emergency center in South and Central Texas, offering high-level emergency care and equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. As the Director of Emergency Services, you will play a crucial role in assuring consistent high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department.

Job Summary:

Full-time position, no weekends
Ensure service, growth, and development in the Emergency Department
Implement solutions to real/potential problems and actively participate in hospital-wide committees
Advance the patient experience agenda
Coach and mentor subordinates, providing feedback and support for their development
Communicate effectively with staff and implement evidence-based employee engagement practices
Develop strong relationships and networks to achieve departmental goals
Enforce standards of emergency department care and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Oversee the PI program and ensure operational excellence

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in nursing required
Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience in emergency services, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state of practice
Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), Basic Life Support (BLS)
FSED director experience preferred, but we may consider managers with at least 4-5 years of experience
We also welcome ED directors from hospitals with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience, and preference will be given to those with FSED experience
Master's degree preferred

Additional Information:

Reporting to the VP of Emergency Services
Overseeing 5 FSEDs: Boerne, Westover, Legacy, Helotes, and Dezavala
Compensation: Salary range $97,052 - $121,326 - $140,000
Possible relocation assistance up to $10,000
No Sign-On Bonus

Identify and resolve real/potential service problems with effective follow-through and communication.
Actively participate in service, departmental, and hospital-wide committees, providing ongoing communication to represent the team.
Drive the patient experience agenda in the Emergency Department to ensure exceptional care.
Coach and provide constructive feedback to immediate subordinates, facilitate individual development plans, and document job performance.
Adhere to all Human Resource policies to maintain a positive work environment.
Communicate departmental, organization, and industry information effectively to staff.
Foster evidence-based employee engagement practices to promote a motivated workforce.
Build strong relationships and networks to achieve organizational and departmental goals.
Participate in employee and patient rounding, identifying and mentoring potential future leaders.
