Overview

A high-acuity 48-bed Intensive Care Unit in Ocala is seeking an experienced ICU RN to join a fast-paced, trauma-level environment. This role involves caring for complex and unstable patients with the support of a collaborative interdisciplinary team. Nurses in this unit practice at a Level I trauma–level standard and are encouraged to pursue continuous clinical and professional growth.


Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, evidence-based ICU nursing care
• Perform and document assessments, monitoring, and procedures as ordered
• Administer medications safely and monitor therapeutic responses
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, plans of care, and follow-up needs
• Support prevention, lifestyle, and disease-management education
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive care plans
• Participate in performance-improvement initiatives to support patient safety and quality outcomes


Qualifications

Required:
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience (within last 3 years), high acuity preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Active Florida RN license or approved multistate compact license
• BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or CCRN certification within 1 year of hire

Preferred:
• Strong interest in critical care professional development
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety, communication, and clinical excellence
