Director of Med-Surg RN – Lead & Grow in a Collaborative Environment
Location: Panama City, FL

Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000 (based on experience)
Annual Bonus: Eligible for up to 15%
Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

What You'll Do:

Lead and manage a newly upgraded 42-bed Med-Surg unit, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective patient care
Enhance departmental performance through resource optimization, staff engagement, and performance improvement initiatives
Oversee patient flow and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal healthcare outcomes
Develop and implement education programs for staff and patients to support continuous learning
Manage day-to-day operations, including staffing, performance evaluations, and resource allocation
Lead departmental projects, make recommendations for new technologies/services, and drive process improvements

Who You Are:

Experienced: At least 2-3 years of recent acute care experience in a managerial role in an adult inpatient setting
Educated: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required)
Licensed: Active Registered Nurse license or Advanced Nurse Practitioner license
Certified: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 30 days of employment

About the Role:

Lead a dedicated 42-bed Med-Surg unit, handling "bread and butter" Med-Surg patients
Manage a team of 57 FTEs, including a Manager, 4 Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs), RNs, LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians
Collaborate with an engaged and motivated healthcare team
Report directly to the ACNO, with opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the organization
Work in a state-of-the-art facility with recently upgraded and remodeled units
