Hourly Pay Range:
$36.43/hr (min) – $51.00/hr (max based on experience)
Midpoint (10 years): $45.54/hr

About the Role
We’re hiring an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager (RN) to lead a dedicated L&D unit known for clinical excellence and compassionate maternal care. In this leadership role, you’ll guide nursing operations across 19 labor rooms, 5 OBED bays, and 3 surgical suites, supporting 80+ FTEs. You will also serve on call every third week to cover Postpartum, Antepartum, and Labor & Delivery as needed.
This is a dynamic, high-volume maternal care unit committed to safety, satisfaction, and optimal birth experiences.
What You’ll Do- Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the Labor and Delivery department
Ensure safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered care delivery
Supervise, coach, and evaluate nursing staff and unit operations
Monitor unit quality metrics and develop improvement plans
Maintain regulatory compliance and support Joint Commission standards
Collaborate with OB/GYNs, anesthesia, and ancillary departments to optimize outcomes
Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and cross-unit communication
Support department education, training, and onboarding
Participate in budget planning and resource allocation
Requirements
Active RN license in Texas (or compact with TX licensure within 90 days)
Associate Degree in Nursing required
Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
1+ year of recent leadership experience in Labor & Delivery required
BLS and NRP required
Strong understanding of maternal-fetal safety, triage, OR protocols, and postpartum care
