Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract
Salary: $7,104-$8,288/month
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Home Health team. As an SLP in the Home Health setting, you will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to patients in the comfort of their own homes. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping individuals regain their communication and swallowing abilities, improve their quality of life, and achieve their therapy goals.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Provide individualized therapy sessions to address speech and language disorders, cognitive-communication impairments, and swallowing difficulties.
- Educate patients and their families on speech therapy exercises and strategies to facilitate progress and maximize outcomes.
- Document patients progress accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
- Adapt therapy approaches as needed to accommodate the unique needs and environments of home health patients.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Requirements:
- Valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Washington.
- Minimum of 6 months of Home Health experience.
- Experience with Alora software preferred.
- Point Expectation: 30 points.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage a caseload.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
- Ability to adapt to varying home environments and patient needs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- COVID-19 vaccine required in accordance with facility guidelines. Medical and religious exemptions will be considered.
