RN Substance Abuse Treatment
Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health & Detox
Pay: $45 – $52 per hour (DOE) + shift differential
Schedule: 12-hour shifts · Rotating nights and weekends · Schedule posted at least 1 month in advance for work-life balance
Overview
We’re seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join a behavioral health and detoxification program in the Texas Hill Country region. This position focuses on providing safe, evidence-based care to adults undergoing substance-use recovery and co-occurring mental-health treatment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care for patients in detox and behavioral health settings. 
- Administer medications, monitor withdrawal symptoms (CIWA/COWS), and maintain accurate EMR documentation. 
- Coordinate care with physicians, LVNs, therapists, and support staff. 
- Serve as Charge Nurse or Admission Nurse as assigned, overseeing patient admissions and nursing team activities. 
- Respond promptly to medical and psychiatric emergencies. 
- Educate and support patients and families throughout recovery. 
Requirements
- Active Texas RN license (unencumbered). 
- Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred). 
- Minimum 1 year of experience in detox, behavioral health, or acute-care nursing preferred. 
- Strong communication, assessment, and leadership skills. 
- Ability to move between units and assist with patient mobility when needed.
