Hourly Rate: $45.00 – $58.00 (based on experience)

About the Role:

A high-volume Labor and Delivery unit in Houston is seeking an experienced RN Manager to lead clinical operations and staff development. This is a prime opportunity to join one of the busiest and most respected L&D units in Texas, where over 800 deliveries occur monthly. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of maternal care, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily clinical operations in a 15–20 bed Labor & Delivery unit
Guide and mentor staff nurses, fostering accountability and engagement
Drive clinical quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives
Collaborate with physicians, directors, and support teams to optimize patient care
Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital standards
Monitor staffing, unit budgets, and performance metrics
Serve as a clinical expert and role model for the nursing team

Qualifications:

Active RN license in Texas
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
3–5 years of recent leadership experience in an acute care Labor & Delivery setting
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
BLS and NRP required (NRP must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
ACLS preferred
