Job Summary:

As the Director of Infection Prevention , you’ll lead the management of the infection control program, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the infection control program, ensuring compliance with CDC guidelines, accreditation standards, and hospital policies .
Conduct ongoing surveillance of infectious diseases and implement strategies to prevent and contain outbreaks.
Provide orientation and ongoing education to staff on infection control principles.
Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure adequate resources and structure for an effective infection control program.
Analyze data and trends to drive improvements in infection prevention practices.
Serve as a subject matter expert, consulting with physicians, staff, and external stakeholders (e.g., CDC, local health departments).

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare-related field required; Master’s Degree preferred .
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) required (must be eligible and obtain certification within 18 months of hire).
Minimum 5+ years of recent acute care infection prevention leadership experience .
Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, data analysis, and outbreak management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Beds: 164-bed hospital, Level III Trauma Center.
Services: Primary Stroke Center, comprehensive cardiovascular services, minimally invasive robotic surgery, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, sports medicine, senior health, wound care, and outpatient rehabilitation.
