Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Trauma

Location: Richmond, VA 23225

Shift: Full-time, Day & Night shifts available (Rotating Weekends)

Salary: $65,624-$93,746/year based on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical Trauma unit in Richmond, VA. As an RN in this role, you will provide therapeutic care to patients being treated for cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other conditions. You will assess acute changes in patients, monitor heart rhythms, interpret ECGs, and intervene in emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic care to patients in the medical trauma unit.
  • Assess acute changes in patients and intervene in emergency situations.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs.
  • Utilize computerized documentation systems to monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions.
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in patient and family education.
  • Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when interacting with patients, visitors, and colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.
