Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Location: La Plata, MD 20646

Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $2,225-$2,596/week

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room (ER) team. As an ER Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to patients in urgent and emergent situations. Your expertise, critical thinking skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure will be instrumental in delivering efficient and effective care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and triage patients upon arrival, quickly identifying their needs and prioritizing care.
  • Provide direct patient care, including performing diagnostic tests, administering medications, and initiating treatments.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Monitor patients' conditions closely, recognizing any changes and taking immediate action when necessary.
  • Document all patient information accurately and timely, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements:

  • Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Maryland.
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in an Emergency Room setting.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred.
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required as per facility guidelines, with medical or religious exemptions considered.
