$30/hr (1 year of experience)
Mid: $38.87/hr (10 years of experience)
Max: $46/hr (20 years of experience)
Night Shift Differential: $3.75/hr
Weekend Differential: $4.30/hr

Shifts Available:

Full-time Days: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (rotating weekends)
Full-time Nights: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM (rotating weekends)

A prominent 603-bed acute-care facility in Plano, Texas, is seeking dedicated ICU Stepdown/ PCU RNs to join their team. With over 90 years of service to the community, this hospital offers a wide range of medical services and specialties. The 35-bed ICU Stepdown unit provides expert care to intermediate care patients, including post-surgical, orthopedic, stroke, spine, peritoneal dialysis, and cardiac drip cases. Job Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
Provide cardiopulmonary management and monitoring.
Serve as the primary coordinator for well-coordinated patient care.
Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions accurately using computerized systems.
Instruct and educate patients and families.
Assess and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team.
Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
Orient and mentor new staff members.
Follow Standard Precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

BSN Required - Magnet Facility
Current Texas RN or Compact State Licensure
ACLS and BLS certifications
PALS certification within 6 months
Minimum 1 year of recent Stepdown, Progressive Care, PCU, or Intermediate Care RN experience in an acute care hospital (2 years preferred)
Basic Drip and EKG Knowledge required

28 Bed CCU including SICU-MICU and CVICU
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:2
High acuity unit, 1:3 - 1:4 patient ratio, including various cases like Open Heart, Trauma, Burn, Vascular, Sepsis
