Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Telemetry

Location: Chesapeake, VA 23320

Shift: 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $1,836-$2,142/week

We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical/Telemetry team in Chesapeake, VA. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to positive patient outcomes. Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care and coordinate care activities within the medical/surgical/telemetry unit.
Assess and monitor patients' conditions, perform ongoing evaluations, and update patient care plans as needed.
Administer medications, perform IV starts, and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely treatments.
Interpret cardiac telemetry readings and promptly respond to changes or abnormalities.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement comprehensive care plans.
Educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Float to different units within the facility as needed, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in providing care.
Work on weekdays, every other weekend, and holidays as per the contract requirements.

Requirements:

Valid and current RN license, either Compact or Virginia state license.
BLS and ACLS certifications obtained through the American Heart Association.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical and telemetry nursing.
Proficiency in using EPIC electronic medical records system.
Experience in travel nursing is preferred but not required.
Must have a COVID-19 vaccination as per facility guidelines, with medical or religious exemptions considered.
