Job Title: StaRN Residency Program - Registered Nurse
Shift: Full-Time, Rotating Day & Night Shift, Weekends
Location: Waycross, GA 31501
Salary: $54,870/year
Join our StaRN Residency Program, a comprehensive training program designed to provide newly graduated Registered Nurses with the skills and support necessary for a successful transition into their nursing careers. This program consists of two parts: StaRN Training and StaRN Clinical Preceptorship, followed by ongoing professional development. Upon completion, residents will transition to full-time roles at our hospital. We offer competitive benefits, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance.
Part 1: StaRN Training (5-8 Weeks)
- Participate in instructor-led classroom training and state-of-the-art simulations.
- Obtain certifications specific to your unit and receive training on charting systems.
- Follow a Monday-Friday schedule with 40-hour work weeks.
Part 2: StaRN Clinical Preceptorship (7-8 Weeks)
- Complete a hands-on clinical preceptorship at our hospital.
- Work closely with a dedicated preceptor to enhance your skills and adapt to your role.
- Attend regular development meetings with your preceptor and Director.
Remainder of the 1st Year:
- Transition to full-time role at the hospital upon successful completion of the program.
- Engage in monthly professional development activities with a mentor.
- Complete an evidence-based capstone project.
Requirements:
- Current Georgia RN license or Multi-state Compact RN license (or ability to obtain).
- Graduated from an accredited school of nursing within the past 1 year.
- Willingness to commit to a two-year, full-time employment at the hospital.
- Self-motivated with strong communication skills.
- Excellent attendance throughout the StaRN Training program.
- Nurses seeking to transition from LTAC/Correctional/Rehab settings to acute care are encouraged to apply.
- New graduates are accepted with or without an RN license.
- Candidates with an Associate's degree are welcome, especially those interested in obtaining their BSN (Galen).

Note: Sign-on bonus of $5,000. Relocation assistance provided on a case-by-case basis, ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 depending on distance. Please note that the sign-on bonus and relocation assistance will be paid out upon completion of training and preceptorship.
