Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER)

Shift: Full-Time

Salary: $58,240-$85,280/year based on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our fast-paced Emergency Room team at our Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) in Kissimmee, FL. As an RN in the ER, you will be responsible and accountable for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act, established standards, and our hospital's policies and procedures. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the Emergency Room
Perform triage assessments to determine the priority of care for each patient.
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to interventions.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their conditions and treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including electronic medical documentation.
Respond to emergencies and provide immediate interventions to stabilize patients.
Effectively communicate and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals
Assume the charge nurse role as assigned, providing leadership and guidance to the nursing staff.
Float between the two Emergency Departments as needed.
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Requirements:

Valid RN license in the state of Florida
Minimum of 1-year recent experience in an Emergency Department setting
Night shift availability
Charge nurse experience is a plus.
Strong assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and department priorities.
