Position: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele
Specialty/Unit: Pulmonary Medical Unit
Location: Owensboro, KY 42303
Shift: Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
Duration: 13 weeks (possible extension)
Start Date: ASAP
Number of Positions: 2
Experience Required: 1-2 years of Pulmonary, Cardiac, or Medical experience
Certifications/Licenses: KY RN License or Compact License, BLS certification required
COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement: Not Required
Flu Vaccine Requirement: Unknown

Responsibilities:

Provide excellent patient care to pulmonary and cardiac patients, including those with COPD, pneumonia, CHF, and respiratory failure.
Monitor patients on oxygen devices such as BiPAPs, CPAPs, home ventilators, and high-flow nasal cannula.
Administer care to patients on cardiac drips (not titrated) and medical overflow.
Floating to other medical-surgical units within the hospital may be required.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Pulmonary, Cardiac, or Medical nursing.
KY RN License or Compact License and BLS certification are required.
Epic experience is mandatory for RNs.
Candidates must not have worked at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital or Twin Lakes as permanent staff in the past 10 years.

Compensation and Benefits:

Base Pay Rate: $50.00/hr
Overtime Multiplier: 1.5% for 40 total hours in 1 week
Additional Pay:
- Holiday: 1.5% (Observed Holidays: New Year's Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
