Job Duration: 13-Week Renewable Contract
Salary: $2,664-$3,108/week
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will play a crucial role in performing and assisting with a variety of interventional and vascular procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in performing interventional radiology procedures, including but not limited to angiography, angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, biopsies, and drainages.
- Participate in vascular procedures conducted in the operating room (OR), working closely with the surgical team to ensure the success of the procedure.
- Operate the O-arm imaging system during neuro cases in the OR.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout.
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Monitor patients during procedures and provide appropriate care and support.
- Assist the physician in sterile techniques and the use of specialized equipment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and procedure documentation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure smooth workflow and optimal patient care.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
- Participate in on-call coverage on a rotating basis.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
- Proficiency in performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including vascular procedures in the OR and O-arm operation in neuro cases.
- Local candidates are accepted.
- COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, with the requirement of a booster shot. Medical or religious exemptions will be considered.
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography.
- Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
