Job Title: Mammogram Technologist

Shifts:

Full-time, Days, 7-10 hours, rotating weekends
Full-time, Evenings, 7-10 hours, weekdays only

Job Summary: The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammography and assisting with other related radiographic breast procedures, such as galactogram and stereotactic breast biopsy. The technologist must comply with Federal (MQSA) and State (Texas Department of State Health Services) regulations and ACR guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform high-quality mammograms through proper positioning and correct operation of digital mammography equipment. Prepare the mammography room before and after the procedure, perform quality control/quality assurance procedures in accordance with STRIC policy, and document patient history and previous films, if any.
Acquire and maintain computer skills necessary for the proper use of mammography equipment, STRIC radiology information system, and PACS.
Willing to cross-train in other functions or positions and assume additional responsibilities to ensure satisfactory operation of the department or permit flexible staffing assignments.
Support the mission and vision of South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times. Understand and comply with the South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers’ code-of-conduct and model ethical behavior as expected by patients, colleagues, and the community.
Understand and enforce applicable South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers’ policies and procedures and established rules and regulations.
Able to work in a fast-paced and customer service-oriented environment and perform duties and meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification Required:

High school graduate or GED preferred.
Graduate of an accredited school of radiology or 10+ years of experience in modality required.
Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
Current CPR certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support. Must have a minimum of 2 years of outpatient experience.

Compensation:

Salary range from $26.85-$36.91 based on years of experience.
Weekend differentials: $6.50.
On-call: $5.00.
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000.
Relocation paid out on the 2/3rd check with a 2-year commitment.
