Compensation: $26.40 – $39.60/hr depending on experience
Specialty Differential: +$1.50/hr for critical care units
Night Differential: +$4.25/hr
Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 Days | $15,000 Nights
Relocation Assistance: Up to $5,000 for qualifying hires
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | Days or Nights | Rotating Weekends

Overview

A Level II Trauma Center serving the Fort Walton Beach and Destin communities is hiring Registered Nurses across critical care and inpatient departments.

This hospital supports advanced cardiovascular programs, stroke care, oncology services, and trauma medicine.

Applicants may be considered for multiple units depending on their clinical background.

Units Hiring

Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)

High-acuity cardiac surgery intensive care environment.

Typical patients include:

Post-open heart surgery
Advanced cardiovascular cases

Requirements:

Recent ICU, ER, or CVICU experience
ACLS during onboarding
NIH Stroke Scale within 30 days

Shadow shift required prior to offer.

Medical-Surgical ICU

10-bed ICU treating complex medical and surgical patients.

Typical ratios:
2:1 – 3:1 depending on patient acuity.

Required certifications:

BLS
ACLS
TNCC during onboarding

Neuro Med-Surg

Neurological inpatient unit with stroke-focused population.

Requirements:

1 year acute care RN experience
BLS
NIH Stroke Scale certification

Medical-Surgical

General inpatient medical-surgical care unit.

Typical ratios:
Up to 6 patients per nurse

This unit provides opportunities for nurses transitioning from outpatient settings into hospital acute care.
