  • 1 year experience: $34.99/hour
  • 5 years experience: $37.80/hour
  • 15 years experience: $45.06/hour

🎉 Incentives:

🌟 Shift & On-Call Pay:

  • Shift Differentials: Nights $4.25
  • On-Call Pay: $4.00

Role Overview: 

As a Charge OR RN, you play a critical role in providing leadership to our nursing unit. You will be responsible for overseeing, supervising, and assigning tasks to RNs and Patient Care Technicians. You'll be an integral part of our Outpatient Surgical Team, working across various surgical specialties.

Surgical Specialties Include:

  • General, Vascular, Orthopedic, Cardiovascular, Gynecological, Plastic, ENT, Urological, Ophthalmic, Laparoscopic, Neurological, Maxillofacial, Thoracic, Emergency Trauma, and Robotic Surgeries.

Responsibilities:

As a Charge OR RN, your primary responsibilities include:

  • Leadership: Oversee and provide guidance to the nursing unit. Delegate and assign tasks to RNs and Patient Care Technicians.
  • Surgical Assistance: Actively participate and assist in surgeries across various specialties, ensuring patient safety and the highest level of care.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure the OR environment is safe, equipment is functioning properly, and that the surgical team has all necessary tools and supplies.
  • Patient Care: Assess patients before surgery, obtain medical histories, and answer questions. Monitor patients during surgery and alert surgical teams of any concerns.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all stages of patient care, from pre-op assessments to post-op recovery notes.
  • Quality Assurance: Uphold hospital standards, ensuring best practices are followed at all times.
  • Training & Development: Mentor and guide junior staff members, promoting professional development and upskilling within the team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing (BSN or MSN preferred)
  • Current FL RN license or appropriate compact licensure
  • Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS (obtained within 90 days of hire)
  • CAPA & AAANC certifications preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills

Additional Information:

  • Shift Options: 8, 10, and 12 hours
  • On-Call Requirement: Must reside within 30 mins of facility
