Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist - Radiology / Cardiology

Location: Baltimore, MD 21215

Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $2,052-$2,394/week

We are currently seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our Radiology/Cardiology department. As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will play a vital role in performing high-quality ultrasound procedures independently, contributing to the overall delivery of exceptional patient care. If you have at least 1 year of experience in general ultrasound and possess the required certifications, we welcome your application. First-time travelers will also be considered for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations using advanced imaging equipment and techniques.
  • Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Obtain and record patient history, as well as pertinent information for the interpreting physician.
  • Perform ultrasound examinations following established protocols and guidelines to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
  • Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to the interpreting physician for diagnosis.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans based on ultrasound findings.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
  • Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in general ultrasound.
  • Willingness to accept first-time travelers.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • RDMS-AB certification (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen).
  • RDMS-BR certification (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Breast).
  • RVT certification (Registered Vascular Technologist) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
