Job Title: Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Valdosta, GA 31602

Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 12-Week Renewable Contract

Salary: $1,512-$1,764/week

We are currently seeking experienced and dedicated Registered Nurses to join our ICU team. As an ICU Nurse, you will provide critical care to patients across various age groups, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
  • Monitor and assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, lab results, and overall clinical status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Implement and manage advanced life support measures, including ventilator management.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses in the EPIC documentation system.
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and provide appropriate interventions.
  • Administer continuous IV sedation and manage procedural sedation as needed.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Float to the Cardiac Progressive Unit (CPU) and occasionally to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical Surgical/Telemetry (MS/Tele) with a maximum patient load of 4.

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
  • Travel experience is required.
  • ACLS and BCLS certifications are mandatory.
  • PALS certification is preferred, with expertise in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias.
  • Proficiency in the care of ventilated patients is preferred.
  • Experience with Omnicell medication system is desired.
  • Familiarity with the EPIC documentation system is a plus.
  • Ability to provide care to patients with various diagnoses, including post-code, post-stroke, TPA administration, respiratory failure, and those requiring dialysis.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory, or an exemption form must be on file.
  • No locals: candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius.
