Position Overview: We are in search of a dedicated Nurse Manager for Surgery who will provide leadership and ensure the effective delivery of clinical patient care 24/7. The role demands a proactive leader who can oversee patient care, ensuring compliance with nursing standards, policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Leadership in the delivery of safe, quality patient care.
Ensuring departmental standards meet legal and accrediting agency requirements.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
Implementing programs to measure and improve the quality of nursing care.
Coordinating patient care with other hospital services and departments.

Qualifications:

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (required), Bachelor's in Nursing (preferred).
License/Certifications: BCLS, ACLS (within 90 days of employment).
Experience: 3-5+ years as an RN with formal leadership experience. Ideal candidates possess strong OR, PACU, and Cardiovascular/Cath Lab experience from an acute hospital setting.

Additional Information:

Reports to the Director of Surgical Services.
Direct reports include around 40-45 staff members.
Oversees various departments including PAT, Preop, PACU, OR, Endo, Anesthesia Support, Central Sterile Processing, Cath Lab, and Echo.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday, starting between 5:30-7am, working 8-10 hour days with 24/7 accountability and on-call involvement.

Salary: Ranges from $45/hr to $52/hr with annual merit raises every July.
