Salary Range: $66,435-$90,605/year based on experience.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Interventional Radiology team in Walton Beach, FL. As an RN in Interventional Radiology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during various interventional procedures. Responsibilities:
- Assisting physicians during interventional radiology procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and addressing their concerns.
- Administering medications and monitoring patients' vital signs throughout procedures.
- Providing post-procedure care and monitoring patients for potential complications.
- Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensuring compliance with sterile procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Documenting patient information, procedures performed, and medications administered accurately.
- Assisting with patient education, explaining post-procedure care instructions, and answering questions.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and maintaining professional development.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in nursing required.
- Current RN license in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to start.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Minimum of 1-year acute care experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1-year critical care experience preferred.
- Radiology experience preferred.
- Proficient in reading and writing English with the ability to transfer physician's orders accurately.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects with assistance.
- Familiarity with sterile procedures and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to empathize with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Willingness to be exposed to ionizing radiation and wear lead apron during procedures.
- Must be within a 30-minute commute to the hospital for on-call requirements.
