🌐 Your Role in the Big Picture:

Embark on a transformative journey as a Virtual Outpatient Coder in our Hospital Outpatient Coding Brigade. Your mission? To meticulously ensure outpatient coding quality and resolve billing alerts/edits for a wide range of hospital outpatient encounters. Whether you're new to coding or a seasoned pro, this role is your stepping stone toward an elite outpatient coding quality review position.

🔍 Core Responsibilities:

Excel in assigning precise CPT codes, especially for complex procedures.
Verify the accuracy of diagnosis coding for multifaceted encounters.
Collaborate seamlessly with revenue integrity teams on NCD/LCD coverage, charge discrepancies, and more.
Dive deep into comprehensive code reviews, addressing issues such as invalid codes and missing modifiers.
Lead efforts to rebill miscoded encounters and assist in resolving accounts with HIM/Coding unbilled hold reasons.

🎓 Qualifications:

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) or Health Information Technology (HIT) is required.
Bring a minimum of 1 year of acute care same-day surgery outpatient coding experience to the table.
Possession of credentials like RHIA, RHIT, or CCS is a plus!
Must reside within 60 miles of an HCA affiliated facility.
