Job Description: Are you an experienced CVOR Nurse ready for a new challenge? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our CVOR unit . The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of direct CVOR experience, BLS, ACLS certifications (must have at the time of submittal), and NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start). Experience in cardiac OR and the ability to handle cardiac call are essential.

Responsibilities: As a Registered Nurse in our CVOR unit , you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care during cardiovascular surgical procedures. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Patient Care: Delivering high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterilized.
  • Monitoring: Monitoring patients' vital signs and providing real-time feedback to the surgical team, ensuring immediate response to any changes.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and efficient surgical experience.
  • Post-Operative Care: Providing post-operative care, monitoring patients during recovery, and addressing any complications promptly.
  • Documentation: Accurate and timely documentation of patient information, procedures, and outcomes in compliance with hospital protocols.
  • Compliance: Adhering to hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards to maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment.

Special Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of direct CVOR experience.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start).
  • On-Call Requirement: Cardiac call experience necessary.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs.
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours for 12-hour shifts, 3 days for 8/10-hour shifts.
  • Special Skills: Must be able to set up and start call, and handle other cases if CVOR cases are unavailable.

Compliance and Application Details:

  • Compliance Deadline: Monday prior to start.
  • Travel Compliance: Minimum 3 weeks/21 calendar days+ lead time required.
  • References: 2 references from direct supervisor/manager, ANM, director for the unit required.
  • Testing: EKG and Safemedicate Test during orientation. 2 attempts max for each. No remediation for re-test. Travelers will be canceled if they fail. Study materials provided with FDI.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay: Base Pay Rate - $60/hr - 70.00/hr
  • Overtime: 1.5% for total hours exceeding 40 in 1 week.
  • Holiday Pay: 1.3% for observed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Day, Independence Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day).
