Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Shift: 5x8-Hour (07:00 - 15:30)

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: $1,776-$2,072/week

We are currently seeking a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) to join our Surgical Services team. As a CST, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient surgical environment. This is a full-time position with a 13-week renewable contract, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting and make a positive impact on patient care.

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, including sterilizing equipment, arranging surgical instruments, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies as requested.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, ensuring a smooth flow of instruments and supplies during the procedure.
Maintain a sterile field by following aseptic techniques and strict infection control protocols.
Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a safe and organized surgical environment, including proper disposal of biohazardous waste.
Assist with patient positioning, draping, and prepping to ensure optimal surgical access and patient comfort.
Monitor and maintain the availability and functionality of surgical equipment and instruments, promptly reporting any issues or malfunctions.
Provide support in the perioperative phase, including transporting patients, transferring specimens, and accurately documenting patient information.
Adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.

Requirements:

Certification as a Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST).
COVID-19 vaccination in accordance with facility guidelines (medical exemptions only).
Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with the surgical team.

Note: No minimum experience required; recent graduates from an accredited surgical technology program are welcome to apply. Local candidates are accepted.
