Director of Nursing for Oncology | San Antonio, TX

  • Compensation: $115K - $120K, based on experience.

Job Summary and Qualifications:
We are actively seeking a Director of Nursing for our Oncology Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and delegating the delivery of patient care during the entire hospitalization period. This role requires leadership, full accountability, and a deep commitment to patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Senior Director, Vice President, and/or the Chief Nursing Officer.
  • 24/7 accountability for 70-80 staff, 40-50 beds, and management of patient care.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians and the patient care team.
  • Work cooperatively with administrators, physicians, staff, other managers, and all customers to consistently meet and exceed expectations.
  • Assess, prioritize, plan, implement, and evaluate process improvement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of three years of recent RN acute care experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Valid RN license in Texas or ability to obtain a temporary license prior to hire (Texas RN license required within 90 days of hire).
