Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $1,728-$2,016/week

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) to join our Surgical Services team in Stuart, FL. As a CST, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. This position offers a 13-week renewable contract with the possibility of extension. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain the operating room, ensuring that it is clean, sterile, and properly equipped.
Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies required for specific procedures.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and provide the necessary instruments and supplies promptly.
Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and following aseptic techniques.
Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout the surgical procedure.
Prepare and handle specimens for laboratory analysis.
Manage surgical instruments, ensuring proper cleaning, sterilization, and maintenance.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the safety and well-being of patients during surgery.
Provide support and comfort to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Document and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures and equipment used.
Adhere to infection control protocols and follow all hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
Minimum of 18 months of experience as a Surgical Tech.
2 years of experience preferred.
COVID-19 vaccination required as per facility guidelines (medical/religious exemptions only).
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
