Job Summary and Qualifications

As an OR Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge RN), you'll be an integral part of our interdisciplinary team, working under the guidance of the unit's director. In this role, you'll coordinate and direct all functions in the OR Department during your designated shifts, providing care to patients and supervising other staff members. Your expertise will make you a valuable resource person and liaison between specialty team members, staff, surgeons, and vendors.

Responsibilities:

Demonstrate strong leadership skills to supervise and manage the OR staff, including performance evaluations, coaching, and hiring.
Ensure department compliance with state, federal, and healthcare regulatory agencies.
Collaborate closely with other Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs) to prepare surgical procedures thoroughly.
Verify accuracy of preference cards and the OR schedule, working closely with surgery schedulers to streamline and verify the flow of the OR schedule.

What qualifications you will need:

Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Two (2) years of acute care experience as an Operating Room (OR) RN.
Previous charge nurse/service coordinator experience.

Additional Information:

Types of Services: Neuro, Ortho, Vascular, Plastics, Robotics, General, Spine, GYN, Urology. Rose Medical has a high volume of elective surgeries.

Shift: Full Time Days (8s, 10s & 12s) The latest they have RNs scheduled is 7 PM. The call team covers anything that comes in after 7 PM due to the elective nature of cases. Backup call 4 weekends/year.
