Position Details:
- Title: RN Critical Care Unit (MICU/ SICU)
- Location: Plano, TX
- Shift Pattern:
- Full-Time Nights: 7P-7A
- Rotating Weekends
Facility Overview: The facility is a comprehensive 603-bed acute-care hospital offering an extensive range of specialties and sub-specialties. Key highlights include:
- Comprehensive cardiovascular program, cancer-treatment center, radiology/imaging center, and more.
- Level 1 trauma center, a high-risk antepartum unit, and a Level 3 neonatal intensive-care unit.

Role Summary: The Critical Care ICU RN manages nursing care to patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
- Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs.
- Provide cardiopulmonary management and monitoring.
- Coordinate with all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Educate and instruct patients and families.
- Coordinate patient's discharge planning with the healthcare team.
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
- Mentor and orient new staff members.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: BSN Required. However, those with ADN may be considered with the commitment to attain BSN.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- TX RN or Compact State Licensure
- ACLS and BLS
- PALS (within 6 months)
- CCRN preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of ICU experience in an acute care setting. Preference given to those with 2+ years.
- Must have ventilator and drip experience.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Structure:
- Starting: $33/hr (1-year experience)
- Mid: $47.10/hr (10 years of experience)
- Max: $54/hr (18 years of experience)
- Shift Differential: $3.75/hr for nights and $4.30/hr for weekends.
