Emergency Room (ED) Registered Nurse (RN)
Texas Nursing Services in Irving, TX is looking for Registered Nurses to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.
We are searching for a dedicated RN to deliver vital care to patients in our ER department. As a specialized nurse, you will be highly trained to treat patients who have suffered strokes, heart attacks, or undergone invasive surgery.
You will perform a range of tasks including performing diagnostic tests, conducting follow-up visits, monitoring patient recovery, and responding to medical emergencies. In addition to having a highly analytical mindset, our ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities
- Interact effectively with patients at all growth and development stages, with patients and families in crisis.
- Assist physicians with procedures, within their scope of practice.
- Have excellent documentation skills.
- Able to work with minimal supervision. Critical thinking skills and ability to prioritize patient needs and coordinate services in compliance with EMTALA.
- Document performance of peers through peer review process.
- Participate in Performance and Process improvement activities.
- Support the success of the ED Team.
- Collaborate effectively with physician team members and unit supervisor; computer literate.
**This is for a permanent position - SHIFT: Full-time, Day & Night shifts needed (rotating weekends)**
**Compensation/Salary range is based on years of experience – sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance offered**
Qualifications/Education:
- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program
- Current RN License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with
RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year recent experience in an Emergency Room unit are necessary to be considered for this role in an acute care setting
- BSN preferred
- Covid-19 vaccinated
