Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Huntington, WV 25701

Shift: 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 17:00)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $2,640-$3,080/week

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse to join our team. As an OR RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will ensure the safety and well-being of our patients throughout their surgical journey.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the surgical team to prepare and organize the operating room before, during, and after procedures.
Perform pre-operative assessments and provide education to patients and their families.
Assist the surgical team during procedures, ensuring the availability and sterility of instruments and supplies.
Monitor patients' vital signs, assess their condition, and provide appropriate nursing interventions during surgery.
Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation of patient information.
Communicate effectively with the surgical team, providing updates on patient status and any changes in the surgical plan.
Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean operating room environment.
Advocate for patient safety and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of West Virginia.
Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Operating Room.
BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
