Job Title: Registered Nurse - Critical Care Unit (CCU)

Location: Marion, IN 46952

Shift: 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30) AND every other weekend

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $1,814-$2,117/week

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care Unit (CCU) team. As an integral member of our healthcare staff, you will provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This is a 13-week renewable contract position in Marion, IN, offering an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the CCU, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being.
  • Monitor patients' conditions, assess their vital signs, and administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as cardiac monitoring, ventilator management, and continuous renal replacement therapy.
  • Monitor and interpret patients' diagnostic test results, communicate findings to the healthcare team, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families, offering reassurance and education about their conditions and treatment options.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Document all patient interactions, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of recent experience in a Critical Care Unit (CCU) setting.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is required.
  • Ability to work night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule, including weekends.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • COVID-19 vaccine required as per facility guidelines (Medical/Religious exemptions only).
