This is a 13 week contract position that requires at least one year of Medical Surgical - Neuro experience.

A Medical Surgical - Neuro registered nurse (also known as a Neuro-Med-Surg nurse) is a registered nurse who provides nursing care to patients with neurological conditions, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, or spinal cord injury. This type of nursing care typically takes place in a medical-surgical unit of a hospital or healthcare facility, and may involve working closely with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and specialists, to provide comprehensive care to patients. Some specific responsibilities of a Medical Surgical - Neuro registered nurse might include:

Assessing patients' neurological and medical status and identifying any changes or concerns
Monitoring patients' vital signs and other medical data, such as blood pressure and heart rate
Administering medication and treatments as prescribed by a doctor
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
Educating patients and their families about their neurological condition and treatment plan, and providing emotional support as needed
Documenting patients' medical history and progress, and maintaining accurate and complete records
Maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients, and ensuring that medical equipment is properly sterilized and maintained

To qualify for this position, one would typically need to:

Hold a current and valid registered nurse (RN) license
Have completed a nursing program and passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX)
Have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience working as an RN in a hospital or clinical setting
Have specialized training and experience in neurological nursing
Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
Be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
