Job Title: CVOR Surgical Technician

Location: Weston, FL 33331

Shift: 3x12-Hour (11:00 - 23:30)

Start Date: ASAP

Job Duration: 13-week renewable contract

Salary: $1,836-$2,142/week

We are seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technician to join our Surgical Services team. As a CVOR Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting surgeons during cardiovascular surgical procedures. Your expertise in the cardiac operating room will contribute to the successful outcomes of our patients.

Responsibilities:

Prepare the operating room for cardiovascular surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly sterilized.
Assist the surgical team during procedures, passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon as needed.
Maintain a sterile environment throughout the surgery, adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and assist with patient positioning, draping, and other tasks.
Operate and monitor specialized surgical equipment, such as heart-lung machines and intra-aortic balloon pumps.
Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of procedures.
Handle specimens and prepare them for laboratory analysis.
Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and patient records.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Availability for on-call shifts as required.
Ability to set up and start call and perform other cases if no CVOR cases are scheduled.
