Registered Nurses (RN) For ICU Needed - Frisco Area
Texas Nursing Services in Frisco, TX is looking for ICU nurses to join our team in an ICU Unit. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and hard-working.
We are searching for a dedicated intensive care unit (ICU) nurse to deliver vital care to seriously ill or injured patients in our ICU department. As a specialized nurse, you will be highly trained to treat patients who have suffered strokes, heart attacks, or undergone invasive surgery.
You will perform a range of tasks including performing diagnostic tests, conducting follow-up visits, monitoring patient recovery, and responding to medical emergencies. In addition to having a highly analytical mindset, our ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Job Responsibilities:
· Assesses, plans and implements care and interventions in addressing the problems of the neonate
· Carries out physician orders
· Assists physician during examination, treatment, and procedures
· Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, monitors vital signs
· Serves as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care
· Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems
· Instructs and educates patients and families
· Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
· Provides age and culturally appropriate care
· Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient care environment for at risk infants
· Orients and mentors new staff members
· Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required
**This is for a permanent position - SHIFT: Full-time, Day & Night shifts needed (rotating weekends)**
**Compensation/Salary range is based on years of experience – sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance offered**
Qualifications/Education:
· Graduate of an accredited diploma, associates, or baccalaureate degree nursing program
· Current RN License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
· Current American Heart Association BLS Certification
· BSN preferred
· Minimum 1-2 year’s ICU experience
· Covid-19 vaccinated
