Job Title: X-Ray Tech - Radiology/Cardiology

Location: Glens Falls, NY 12801

Start Date: ASAP

Shift: 5x8-Hour (14:30 - 23:00)

Job Duration: 13-Week Renewable Contract

Salary: $2,232-$2,604/week

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled X-Ray Tech to join our Radiology/Cardiology department in Glens Falls, NY. As an X-Ray Tech, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Responsibilities:

Perform X-ray examinations on patients using radiographic techniques and equipment, ensuring high-quality images are obtained for accurate diagnosis.
Position patients properly and instruct them on the appropriate breathing techniques to obtain the best possible images.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to determine the necessary imaging procedures based on the patient's condition and physician's orders.
Prepare and administer contrast media when necessary, following established protocols and ensuring patient safety.
Operate and maintain radiographic equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and performing routine quality control checks.
Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, examination results, and other pertinent data in the electronic medical record system.
Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and ensure proper shielding and protection for patients, staff, and self.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following infection control protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to review and interpret images, providing additional imaging as requested.
Assist in patient care and transport, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.

Requirements:

Valid certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Current and valid New York State license as an X-Ray Tech.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an X-Ray Tech, with a focus on radiology and cardiology.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear instructions and explanations to patients.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Flexibility to work a mid-shift schedule with 5x8-hour shifts and rotating weekends.
Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as per facility guidelines (No Exemptions).
