Job Summary and Qualifications:

As a Certified Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in patient care. Your responsibilities will include:

Assembling supplies and equipment for surgical procedures.
Preparing a sterile instrument table.
Preparing the patient's skin for surgery following hospital standards.
Maintaining aseptic techniques and monitoring situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
Providing comfort and support to pre-operative patients.
Transporting patients to and from the surgical suite.
Assisting the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments, sponges, and sutures.
Maintaining the work area and gathering equipment for cleaning and sterilization.
Assisting in monitoring the patient during the procedure.
Providing age and culturally appropriate care.
Orienting and mentoring new staff members.
Following Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications:

Graduate of a formal surgical technologist program or equivalent training.
Certification as a Surgical Technologist required.
Hospital Surgical Tech experience preferred.
Detail-oriented with the ability to sustain concentration over long periods of time.

Shifts Available:

5-day roles (6:30 am - 7:00 pm, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm)
Must be on-call and live within 30 minutes of the facility.
Minimum of 1 year of experience required; open to techs from surgery centers, but not open to new grads.
