Position Overview: The Director of Nursing for Pediatric ICU will be responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and delegating the delivery of patient care throughout the hospitalization period. This role involves leadership, accountability for staff and patient care, and fostering professional nursing practices in the specified patient care area.
Key Responsibilities:
- 24/7 accountability for 70-80 staff members and management of patient care in the unit.
- Act as a liaison between physicians and the patient care team.
- Collaborate with administrators, physicians, staff, and other managers to consistently meet and exceed patient care expectations.
- Assess, prioritize, and implement effective changes to improve patient care processes.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of recent RN acute care experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Must have or be able to obtain a Texas RN license within 90 days of hire.
