Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Ensure effective operation of the cardiovascular services department(s), aligning with organizational goals and patient satisfaction standards.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage departmental budgets, projecting expenses to achieve approved net margins.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with external regulatory and accrediting agencies, staying informed about new requirements and coordinating hospital compliance.
  • Process Improvement: Promote systematic assessment and improvement of performance, using customer feedback to enhance outcomes.
  • Ethical Leadership: Uphold high ethical standards in business practices, actively supporting organizational goals and changes.
  • Team Leadership: Guide, direct, and plan department activities, including employee selection, development, and motivation.
  • Employee Assessment: Provide continuous employee assessment with timely evaluations, ensuring an engaged and productive team.
  • Staff Development: Keep turnover at an acceptable level, meeting hospital turnover goals.
  • Committee Participation: Actively engage in hospital and departmental committees and group meetings to enhance patient care services.
  • Information Flow: Conduct monthly department meetings to facilitate information flow.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including emergency codes, disaster protocols, and infection control.
  • Patient-Centered Care: Demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide age-specific care, addressing patients' requirements across the lifespan.

Qualifications:

  • Education: BSN required
  • License/Certifications: Current Texas Registered Nursing license or identified compact state license, BCLS
  • Experience: 5+ years of CV services management

Experience in cardiac and vascular services, including operational, program development, and leadership development, is crucial. Exceptional communication skills, team collaboration, and the ability to coach and develop managers are essential.
